Who we are

TranscribeLink (transcribelink.com) is run by an independent developer. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Waffo.com Limited. Waffo.com Limited is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it sells the plans to you, takes the payment, handles sales tax and VAT, and issues receipts. The service

TranscribeLink turns the speech in a video or audio file into text. You can paste a link to a public video or upload a file. Transcripts are created automatically by AI: speech recognition (Whisper) listens to the audio, or existing YouTube captions are used. See Acceptable Use for details on the model.

Using the service

You may submit links to publicly available videos and files you are allowed to use. You are responsible for having the right to transcribe the content you submit and for how you use the transcripts. You must not use TranscribeLink for anything listed in our Acceptable Use Policy.

Free use

Without paying you can transcribe up to 20 minutes in total, in up to 2 transcripts. We may change or end the free allowance and may block automated or abusive use.

Paid plans

Prices are shown on the pricing page before checkout, in US dollars; sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout.

• Unlimited, monthly: $20 per month. It renews automatically every month until you cancel.
• Unlimited, yearly: $120 per year. It renews automatically every year until you cancel.
• Minutes (one-time): $1 for 100 minutes, from $5. This is a single payment, not a subscription. Bought minutes never expire, cannot be transferred and have no cash value.

A minute is one minute of the audio or video you transcribe. Failed transcripts do not use any minutes. You can cancel a subscription at any time; it stays active until the end of the period you paid for and you won't be charged again.

Fair use

Each account is for one person. Unlimited covers normal personal use; if an account goes far beyond 100 hours a month or is used for automated bulk processing, we may get in touch, slow processing or suspend the account.

Refunds

Payments are non-refundable, except as set out in our refund policy (first-time subscribers within 7 days, unused minute packs within 7 days, billing errors, and rights you have under the law).

Your content

You keep all rights to what you submit and to your transcripts. You give us permission to process them only to provide the service. Audio and video files are deleted as soon as the transcript is ready.

Suspension

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.

Accuracy and liability

Transcripts are created automatically and may contain errors. The service is provided as is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.

Copyright

Only transcribe videos you have the right to use. If you believe a transcript made with TranscribeLink infringes your copyright, email us with the video link and the details of your claim, and we will review it and remove the content where appropriate.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change affects paid plans, we will tell subscribers by email before it takes effect.
