Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: November 4, 2026
What is not allowed
You may not use TranscribeLink to process, create or share:
- Sexual or other NSFW content.
- Graphic violence or gore.
- Hate speech, or content that harasses or threatens people.
- Any content that sexualizes or endangers children.
- Deepfakes, or content that impersonates a real person without their permission.
- Content that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark, including republishing transcripts of videos you don't have the right to use.
You also may not use the service for anything illegal, to send spam, to scrape or bulk-process content automatically, to resell access, or to try to break, overload or get around the limits of the service.
How transcripts are made
Transcripts are generated by AI and may contain mistakes. When a YouTube video has captions in its original language, we use them. Otherwise speech recognition by Whisper large-v3 (an open model from OpenAI) transcribes the audio; the model runs on Groq. When you turn on speaker recognition, the audio is transcribed by Whisper large-v3 together with a speaker detection model, run by SnapAny. The text is not rewritten by any other AI. TranscribeLink is an independent product and is not affiliated with OpenAI, Groq, YouTube or the other sites you can link to.
Reporting content
To report a transcript or use of the service that breaks this policy, email [email protected] with the subject Content Report. Include the link to the transcript or video, a screenshot if you have one, and the account or order involved. We aim to reply within 3 business days.
What we do
A person reviews every report. Depending on what we find, we delete the content, limit features, or suspend or close the account, and we may report illegal content to the authorities. We keep a record of reports and the actions we took.
